Predators Selected in 2009 OHL Priority Draft

The Ontario Hockey League held their 2009 Priority Selection Draft on Saturday, May 2nd. Of the players picked, the OMHA led all the associations / leagues, with 86 players being drafted.

Two Minor Midget Predators and one ex-Predator were selected in this year’s draft.

Kristoff Kontos was selected in the second round and 38th overall when he was drafted by the Sudbury Wolves. Kristoff is a 6' 0" centre who weighs in at 185 pounds.

Caleb Cameron was selected in the 14th round and 271st overall when he was picked by the Guelph Storm. Caleb is a 5' 8" 155 pound left winger. When Caleb was picked and reached for a comment, he said: “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my teammates and coaching staff from the Predators”.

Tyler Wade, a former Predator from Barrie, was drafted in the 13th round and 252nd overall. He was drafted by the Owen Sound Attack. Tyler is a 6' 2" left winger who weighs in at 180 pounds. He played for the Toronto Titans in the GTHL the past two years.
