Our 2007/2008 North Central Predators Minor Midget AAA team had a great season. In league play they compiled a record of 15 wins, 13 losses, 6 ties, for 36 points, tying for 3rd in the ETA West. The team scored 108 goals, and gave up only 86.

In the first round of the OMHA playoffs, the Minor Midgets lost the first game to Richmond Hill 1-3. After that, it was all Predators, which scored 3 straight victories 3-1, 5-2 and 3-2 (overtime) to win the series.
The second round found them pitted against Quinte. The winner of this series would advance to the OMHA Championship round robin tournament. All the games were close, but the Predators left no doubt as they won 3 games to none by scores of 4-3, 3-1 and 2-1 (overtime) to qualify for the OMHA Championship.
The Predators had a letdown in the first game of the round robin as Peterborough beat them 6-0. Following that, the boys woke up and shut down Guelph by a score of 5-0. Next was the always tough York Simcoe: the Predators knew they had to win this one to try and get a berth in the Gold Medal game; it was a valiant effort which fell short, with York Simcoe winning 3-2. The final game of the round robin saw the Predators tie Halton 5-5, qualifying them for the bronze medal game. They faced the same Halton team the next day, but Halton came out on the winning end of a 5-2 score.
Overall it was a roaring good season.
(And to cap things off, six players were drafted in the OHL draft!)
